Most recently a Licensing Creative Specialist at General Mills, Carrie was a treasured liaison between the corporation and the licensees. She managed the creative portion of the approval process. A trend specialist from her days as a fashion buyer and a fashion accessories manufacturer, Carrie also coached licensees on applying trends to create innovative, differentiated product. Carrie was entrusted to analyze market conditions and trends to identify growth opportunities. Prior to General Mills, Carrie helped manufacturer Hanover Accessories drive sales for its classic licensed-in brand, Oshkosh B’Gosh. As Product Development Manager for the license, Carrie communicated daily with the several Oshkosh teams, including product development, licensing, and buying personnel. In addition to managing the approval process, Carrie, also a trained forecast analyst, scrutinized sales data and evaluated information from trend services and store visits as means to maximize sales volume. Before heading up the Oshkosh efforts, Carrie spent a year at Hanover strictly as a product development manager, where she learned all aspects of the business, from creating concepts and sourcing, to crunching sales data and perfecting the magic of merchandising. Carrie cut her teeth in the retail market as a Forecast Analyst with catalog firm Rivertown Trading. Before that she was an Associate Buyer at Christopher & Banks, a women’s apparel specialty chain that today operates400 stores in the Northern half of the United States. |
